Wimbledon park estate agents, Brinkley’s says, “Take advice”
Brinkley’s Estate Agents, which has branches in Putney, Wimbledon Hill and Wimbledon Park, says
that despite the hugely varying reports in the press recently, South West London remains relatively
upbeat when it comes to property sales.
In the last few days Rightmove has reported that the average asking price for a home dropped by
1.6%, or £3,797, to £236,597 in July; the largest July fall since 2008. The report also said that seven
out of ten properties put on the market since the start of the year, are still unsold.
On the other hand, another recent news story tells us that, according to the latest figures, prices have
shot up by £30 a day in the first half of the year. Nicholas Leeming, Business Development Director of
Zoopla.co.uk, said, “The property market is back on the right track with the majority of regions having
clawed back some of the ground lost at the end of last year.”
Robert Brinkley, Managing Director of Brinkley’s Estate Agents said, “There is clearly a difference in
opinion, but whether you are a ‘glass half full’, optimist or not sure if now is the right time to sell, it is
always advisable to get some guidance. Shop around for the best rates and talk to the people on the
ground, like us. We are always happy to give advice in a straightforward manner and, of course,
valuations are free.”
